feb 5 to feb 11
Welcome to week six.
Be a Maker:
I managed to get all the way to the next color fade in my shawl. I might need to fade back to the first color at the end, since I am using 1600 yards in 4 colors instead of 10, but it will look great because all the colors go together well.
I had a chance to get some quilting done on a project that has been in my WiPs for a long time. This great quilt uses Allison Glass fabrics and shot cottons. The front has huge flying geese and one of the amazing large scale prints, and the back is HST with solid, teal shot cotton. Once the quilting is complete I think this will be on my bed for the remainder of this winter season.

Practice my Craft:
Next week is Valentine's and because I am not able to be in my older son's classroom helping out so much this year, I signup for ALL the send to school requests. We have boxes, treats, and cookies to get ready this weekend, which will take all hands on deck, so that all the children in his class have a great mini holiday next week.
I am practicing some OLD craft these next few weeks and preparing a website for a FRMQG function that is happening in June. Once it is up and running, I'll post more information.
These kits are large enough for both my planners. I used the stickers in my Get to Work Book then used what was left in my Quilter's Planner. I love the soft colors and the beautiful artwork on this one. I have 4 other kits from the same shop on Etsy but next week will be a leftover kit challenge week, so it won't be as coordinated. That's okay, I figure I really love each kit I buy, that's why I spend money on them, so it will be a combination of things I enjoy.
As I posted about on my Home page, I did reorganize my workroom this week. Here is before.
Later this month:
Sarah Fielke is doing a BOM called Down the Rabbit Hole. The next month's instructions will be released at the end of the month.
FRMQG meeting will be the 3rd Saturday of the month in Franktown, CO as usual. I am getting things ready to be a presenter in April at the guild meeting.
On to week seven...
